Client Reviews
In Their Own Words
Araya Phongchai
Guesthouse owner, Chiang Mai
We did the Briefing first because we were not sure if the work would be relevant to a property our size. It was. The starting checklist was short enough to feel manageable, and two of the items on it we had already half-thought about but never got around to. Having a structured conversation helped us move forward on things that had been sitting there.

Thanakorn Nawarat
Operations manager, food producer, Lamphun
The Operations Review took about three weeks end to end. The practices grid they produced was a useful format — it showed clearly where packaging decisions were made by habit rather than by choice. The priority list gave us three changes to focus on, and we have made two of them so far. The third one needs a supplier conversation we have not had yet.

Wanwisa Suksant
Director, boutique retail group, Bangkok
We have been on the advisory arrangement for seven months. What I appreciate most is that the sessions are practical — we talk about what is actually happening in our stores, not abstract sustainability theory. The progress notes are useful internally too; we reference them when we onboard new staff.

Co-owner, restaurant, Chiang Mai
I came in expecting to be given a list of expensive things to fix. That was not what happened. Most of what came out of the briefing was about changing decisions we were already making — just making them more deliberately. The fee was reasonable and the checklist turned out to be genuinely useful. We ended up doing the review as well, about two months later.
March 2025 · Responsible Practice Briefing
Nopparat Lertwanchai
General manager, eco-lodge, Mae Rim
We already had some practices in place and were curious whether we were missing obvious gaps. The review confirmed a few things we were doing well and flagged three areas we had not looked at carefully. The findings summary was clear and not too long — something our whole management team could read in fifteen minutes.

Sirachai Chanthachot
Founder, small manufacturer, Chiang Rai
The remote format worked well for us — we are in Chiang Rai and the team adapted to that without any fuss. The session was structured enough to be useful but not so rigid that we couldn't talk about things as they came up. I have recommended the briefing to two other businesses in my network since.

Case Studies
Three Businesses, Three Starting Points
Each engagement looks different. These three cases give a sense of how the work unfolds in practice.
Challenge
Mid-range guesthouse, Nimman area
The owner wanted to reduce packaging waste from the breakfast service and daily room turnover but didn't know which changes would make the most practical difference given their team size and supplier relationships.
What We Did
Operations Review over two and a half weeks. We mapped where packaging entered the property, how it was used, and where alternatives were feasible. The findings identified four practical changes — two with immediate supplier alternatives available locally.
Outcome
Within three months, two of the four changes were in place. Estimated packaging reduction of around 30% in the breakfast service. The owner noted the main benefit was having a record to refer back to when making purchasing decisions later.
"It gave us a framework for thinking about these decisions that we hadn't had before."
Challenge
Independent retailer, multiple locations
A Bangkok-based clothing retailer with three stores wanted to understand their energy and packaging footprint across locations, but had no existing data and no capacity to run an internal review alongside normal operations.
What We Did
Responsible Operations Advisory over nine months. Monthly sessions alternated between store visits and remote calls. Progress notes tracked decisions made and topics deferred. We helped them develop a purchasing checklist used across all three stores.
Outcome
The purchasing checklist is now part of their standard onboarding for store managers. Energy use discussions led to a review of lighting timers across two stores. The director described the ongoing advisory as useful specifically because it created a standing agenda for topics that would otherwise get deprioritised.
"The sessions give these topics a regular slot in our calendar, which is what they needed."
Challenge
Small food manufacturer, Lamphun
A family-run producer of packaged dried goods wanted to evaluate whether their current packaging format was the most sensible choice, and whether there were energy savings available in their production process that wouldn't require capital expenditure.
What We Did
Operations Review with on-site observation. We reviewed the production schedule alongside packaging material decisions and noted three points where changes could be made without disruption. The findings summary included a prioritised list with rough feasibility notes for each item.
Outcome
One packaging change was implemented within five weeks. A second item led to a supplier conversation that is ongoing. The operations manager noted the practices grid format was particularly useful for explaining the findings to the founding family, who had not been part of the review sessions themselves.
"The document made it easier to explain to the rest of the family what we had actually looked at."
